                                    Moi: Not to my knowledged. I am quite sure the first time that he came to the States was in 1969   ~ 70.

In 1961 he designed the set for the off Broadway production of “The Blacks: A Clown Show,” by playwright Jean Genet. “It was a legendary production with an incredible roster of actors, including James Earl Jones,” said Robin Swados, a New York City playwright and cousin of Kim Swados. “It ran for more than 1,400 performances.”
